The Garden

The property has well-tended gardens front and rear, with ample car parking in the driveway. There is outdoor seating and a portable barbeque. The garden adjoins the owner’s private two acre woodland, covered in snowdrops and bluebells in spring, and where there are regular sightings of roe deer, red squirrels, and woodpeckers.  The wood and garden are filled with birds, including blue, coal and great tits, greenfinches, chaffinches, blackbirds, robins, sparrows, tree creepers, wrens, collar doves, and swallows and house martens in the Summer.  There is direct access to many well marked paths through the adjoining Forestry Commission woodland, including some to the beach at Burghead Bay (around 2 miles).

To the east, the house looks out over the Village Hall Grounds, which are well maintained and can be used (with care for the trees and shrubs!) for ball games.
